1st Annual Big Old Parade

(Participants can check www.basketfestival.com after 7:00am parade day for cancellation notice.)
Join the Berlin Fruit Box Company on their 150th anniversary for a celebration of all things old and grand! We’re honoring groups, vehicles, inventions, and anything else that can boast an age/anniversary of 50 years or more. (Sorry, antique shops and other businesses that sell “old” things are not invited. Also, individual people over the age of 50 are not considered an entry.) The festival committee is hoping to educate and entertain at the same time. Be creative…originality will be rewarded. Register early. Space is limited to those entries that fit the requirements.

Parade route:
Vehicles will line up at Center Street and Route 61 (flag A). People will line up at 5th Street and Route 61 (flag B). Specific line-up instructions will be given to your contact person after all registrations have been received. The parade route will follow Route 61 to E. Main Street and follow Main Street to Memorial Drive. Those driving entries who wish to stay and display at the festival will turn onto Memorial Drive and proceed to Berlin Community Park Parking Lot (flag C). Those wishing to leave may continue on Main Street and exit out of town via Main Street or Bellamy Road.
Snacks and restroom facilities will be available for parade participants for an hour after the finished parade. Please complete the question on the entry form so we may accommodate all interested participants.
Do not throw candy or other handouts from vehicles/floats. Please pass items out to spectators along parade route. Do not spray water at spectators. Bicycle riders, please wear helmets.
